About the Author

Erika Ginnis author of Essential Mysteries: A User’s Guide for the 21st Century Mystic is the owner, spiritual teacher, and visionary at Inbreath Communication and Inspiration is the Inbreath of Spirit. She received her B.A. in 1986 from Western Washington University “Technic Systems: Integrating Principles in Dance, Music and Natural Science”; and has worked as a Research Chemist, Editor and Writer, Program Director, Business Owner, and Musician (receiving a Big Island Music Award in 2013 for her vocal work with the TEDS).

An ordained minister since 1982; She combines her additional study in New Thought, Theta Healing, Astrology, and Ritual Work as a 3rd degree High Priestess in the Sylvan Tradition; and founder of the SilverTree Grove in Pahoa Hawaii; to create a private practice, that draws from a variety of energetic and healing traditions, and is open to all, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, or religious affiliation.

She has had numerous articles published in print and on the web. Including; The Inner Voice, The Goddess Quarterly, Kajama (Australia), Sex-is-sacred, and Wiccanweb. She was a contributing writer and also served on the editorial board of Widdershins (the Northwest Pagans Choice) for nine years. She is the author of Essential Mysteries: A User’s Guide for the 21st Century Mystic, published in 2009as well as a number of guided meditations that spring from the topics covered in the book.

She is currently working on her next book “Blood, Bone, Grass, and Spirit”


Erika offers ceremonies, lectures, workshops and classes in Meditation, Energetic Healing, Inner Journey work, Kundalini, Spiritual Leadership, and Personal Transformation as well as Spiritual Counseling, and Spiritual Business Coaching in person and by phone to clients all around the world.

Originally from the Pacific Northwest, She currently has her main practice on the Big Island of Hawai’i, where she enjoys dancing Hula, swimming in the ocean, and hanging out with her dog Shaka and her cats Freddie Mercury and China; who all think she spends entirely too much time on the computer working on her various projects and businesses.
